Ready for the Road Trip

It seems like Christine and I have a thing for road trips – we’ll be back in Canada until the end of May, and while there, we’re going to be doing a LOT of driving. Christine flew back with Paul a couple of weeks ago to make sure she was safely back before the airlines say she’s too pregnant to fly, and since getting back she’s been looking for a vehicle, a phone, and all the rest of the things we’ll need for 3 months on the road.

The van is now sorted. We were able to pick up a 2007 Caravan for a good price with low mileage. We’ll fix that last part, that’s for sure! We’ll be travelling quite a lot – in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Toronto area for the first several weeks of March to have the baby, then up to Thunder Bay, over to Winnipeg, then Regina, then Calgary, then Cranbrook, then Vancouver and Victoria, and then back as far as Calgary. We fly out at the end of May.

Did I mention that when I was younger I said I’d never own a van? Last time we were back we borrowed a van, and I had to eat my words. Well, now it’s truly over. But I do tell you this – I’d much rather have the kids than not have the van.
