Feels Like Summer

We’ve had so many rainy days recently, much to the delight of the farmers (which in Tanzania means everyone), that today’s blue skies and gentle breeze has brought out the same feelings that those first lovely days of summer always do. It’s an invigorating feeling – you can’t shut the door, you don’t want to go inside, things as simple as freshly cut grass touch your senses in a beautiful way, and you wonder if it might just be possible to turn one of the 4wd trucks into a convertible. The seasons generally pass here without much note from us – Christine often says she finds it hard to mark the passage of time, but today I don’t mind – we even took some time out of the day to cut Jacob’s hair… outside.
